Well, Hello There

Well, hello there! Thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings. I hope you find some amusing, perhaps inspiring or at least a good 'waste of time'.

It's Not Perfect, But It Is Going To Be Okay.

Hot Rod and Princess have been great lately, and very understanding (as much as children can).  Playing nicely with one another I see Princess was laying her blanket out, spreading it neatly onto to floor excitedly.  I asked her, Princess, what are you doing?  To which she replied: Something real amazing, like right now we're going trick or treating!  So to her that's really amazing, not only does she get her chocolate she's addicted to, but also gets to dress up as she told Hot Rod they needed to get their dresses too, like she thought he'd ever be caught in a dress.

As I watch them, enjoying their childhood, of course I am thankful.  I thank God that I am able to be home with them and watch all of these moments.  I thank God they're healthy when you see on the television, or hear of other children who are sickly.  I'm also thankful that my husband has a job when there are so many who do not and I'm thankful they all love me.

It's not always rainbows and sunshine, I know I have problems, and it seems a little overwhelming right now.  But I try very hard to take it all one step at a time and remember to look up and ask God for help, look outward to my husband and his family I am fortunate enough to be able to call mine.  I am touched that so many care and are willing to help us as I take this journey.  I have to admit that seeing and feeling their warmth, actions, and words it has brought tears to my eyes more than once.  No one's life is perfect, and we all go through trials and tribulations but be grateful for what you've been given.

Thank you to everyone who is helping, in whatever way it may be.  A simple IM or text, a phone call or message, or the extent of help - I appreciate it all, WE appreciate it all and we love you all more than I can say.  Sorry this wasn't a funny blog, or an eloquent version of a thank you but this is my life right now and it's not perfect, but it is going to be okay.
