Well, hello there! Thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings. I hope you find some amusing, perhaps inspiring or at least a good 'waste of time'.

Granny's Biggest Fan

I really know how to clear a room I guess.  Want to know the secret?  Evidently all I had to do was eat fruit!  Something about the juice from the fruit yet the solidity of the fruit itself causes me to forget how to eat or swallow or both.  We made a huge, beautiful bowl of fruit salad in hopes of me being able to eat a little healthier as I gain weight just by looking at food lately.  I sit down to eat the fruit, get about half way through and it happens!  I started choking, coughing, gasping for air and the kids scatter like cockroaches at a seedy motel when the lights get flicked on!  They ran to their bedrooms and closed the door.  Hubby sits and waits to see what, if anything he can do for me.  Not really anything you can do except hope it comes up from wherever it decided to lodge itself.  Eating for a myasthenic....maybe I should invest in Ensure, Special K drinks, mashed potatoes, pudding and yogurt as those seem to be what I can consume without choking.  I can also eat Princess' meals she prepares for me in her kitchen...

Today Princess was cooking in her kitchen for me, she loves to play with it.  She brings her little shopping baskets out with my 'food' in it, Diet Dr. Pepper and spaghetti at first.  I made a huge deal about how delicious her food is, that she cooks so well.  I give her back the dishes and she treks off to her room to prepare another meal.  This time she comes out with a healthier meal, grilled chicken, carrots, broccoli, corn, green beans and water.  I pretend to eat this meal and again, tell her how wonderful it is, that she cooks so good.  To which my humble little girl replies "Yeah I cook good, I have all of Granny's recipes!"  I smiled and said "Granny does cook really good doesn't she?"  She smiled, tilted her head to one side and said "Yeah!" the trotted off to her room again.

I just love the things they come up with, the things they say or do that we're certain we'll remember yet in a few months we've long since forgotten.  I suppose that's a big part of what this blog is for me, a way to keep track of my life...and my life is my family!
